I had a dream that I was asking a researcher about audio recordings of whales in an office styled room. The researcher told me they had a large tank in the back that could hold a whale for listening purposes. We went out to the tank to see a large sail boat pulling in from a channel connecting it to the (natural) bay nearby. The tank was empty (of whales) so a wealthy man was allowed to park his yacht there. When the boat got into the tank the skipper got out and dove in with scuba gear and a harpoon. I was told that sometimes crocodiles get through the channel while it's briefly opened following the boat in and that they needed to be removed.
The skipper surfaces a few minutes later with a writhing croc on the end of the harpoon. He stamps down on it removing the thrashing tail with a diving knife (these are used as edible delicacies). The animal, now mostly given up is held over me on the end of the harpoon. Its warm body still pulsing as it rests drooping over my shoulder. I, apparently being the only one capable of caring for the thing, blessed the passing of the animal's body and the release of its software from its brain-binding as the skipper removes its head by tearing its mouth apart to finally end the suffering.
