<p>The Night Kitchen throws open the doors to its most outrageous installment yet, delivering explosive beats and bass straight to the dancefloor of Chinatown’s bizarre basement hotspot Li Po Lounge. Legendary soundsmith Richard Devine leads the havoc with an arsenal of intense, glitched-out machine beats. Perhaps best known for carving out a singular sonic style through releases on Warp,Schematic and Sublight, Richard has more recently taken the sound design world by storm, crafting audio for companies from Audi to Yamaha. This momentous occasion marks the long-awaited followup to his 2006 mind-melting performance at Recombinant Media Labs and promises to ignite the city anew.</p>

<p>But the party doesn’t stop there - SF’s most mischevious musicmakers join the fray for a night full of dancetastic delights. Venerable jockey Kid Kameleon blesses the basement massive with his trademark blend of booty-wiggling mashup madness and fresh emerging styles from around the world. Oakland glitch-hop duo Quitter bring a raw, bombastic energy and create unbelievable crunked-up beats on the fly. Staypuft DJ champions the little-known middle ground between Parliament and dubstep – a genre called skweee - and Harbour starts off the festivities with a lush blend of dubstep, techno and classic IDM.</p>

<p>Add in Li Po’s signature stiff drinks and divey goodness and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a party. The Night Kitchen is back with big plans for 2009 – this is just the beginning.</p>

<p>bpitch control celebrates their 10 year anniversay this year and label founder ellen allien has never been hotter. After last year's hugely successfully release 'SOOL' with a number of much sought after remixes, she's created a special anniversary party like no other. For this special occasion, Ellen has generated some heat again and will bring in 2009 various goodies to the technosapiens of the world. First off, she's created a special DJ set with stellar custom visuals by the infamous Pfadfinderei as well as musical support from the label's emerging star Thomas Muller Secondly she will be releasing the next single in the Spring for her new concept album 'BE' which is due out in September. Constructed as a 45-minute non-stop track, Ellen will take this concept to a new level, breaking with the standards of an album layout. We're looking forward to another raging party as seen from her last 2 sold-out appearances in 2008. Please join us!</p>

<p>The moment one suppresses the true self* is the moment that that self attempts to
manipulate the way others perceive it. This is the physical-body-oriented
ill-intent that the ego expresses from the human organism... Which can spiral into
mental pathology for many modern persons like myself. Though no thing can be
good nor evil. The human entity bound to time must make the choice they tend to
feel is most proper under the banners of wholeness, wholesomeness and
connectedness (which the ego attempts to revolt against) if they are attempting
the path of ascension.</p>

some of these is to be human. Though cleansing means detachment. Allowing the
foreign to penetrate you.</p>
<p class="note">*note that the true self has already decided to suppress itself through
the human organism or not (for its own experiencial purposes). which removes
the power for a human to do good or evil. transcendent forces govern the
universe in total, you are that force but with self-imposed/temporary
boundaries. some must play the part of the tragedy.</p>

...just had a dream in which i became pretty much fully conscious towards the
end of. i could not break out of it, trapped in the subconscious...
in the dream i had woken up in my bed (how cinematique) and there
were people in my house taking all my stuff away, cleaning and
painting over all the items i had placed on my wall.

after fighting with them and leaving the house to see if anyone could
help me - i started yelling "it's not real, this isn't real". people
just looked at me as they do in this situation...*

*of course it is as real as anything else the perception system
has a tendency to sense, what was meant was "this isn't the physical manifestation
plane", but i was a bit panicked...

to wake up i had to go into the apartment and look for something
that was out of place... i saw that there should have been some
things along a wall that were not there, then i felt like a triple
take as my body turned and twisted around and i finally woke up
to the apartment as i had left it...
