I've come the closest ever to actually posting in the SPAZList. The reason is thus: nobody has said anything all that intelligent or even made a note about Novelty when discussing 2012 as a date, it has slightly irritated me...
</p>
<p>
Regardless of any Mayan correspondence, 2012 is nothing short of thus: the habits(or FORMS) that have been building upon themselves to greater and greater complexity have been doing so according to a fractal pattern all throughout the history of the known Universe(according to any and all observations made by Humanity thus far), the point at which the complexity(or DEPENDENCIES of said FORMS) of said Universe reaches infinity is mathematically predicted to be December 21, 2012.

<p>
An outcome that seems possible to me with this date is simply thus: the physical universe (4 dimensions) either merges with an Hyper-dimension or becomes some other kind of timeless entity as the wave collapses in on itself(singularity). ("We will become alien even to ourselves", etc.) (The Universe appears in many ways to be under the influence of an timeless/hyper-dimensional consciousness as it exists and is perceived by us in Time today... apparently driving it towards that unimaginable Something - see "Strange attractors" in Chaos Theory) (The brain exists as a hyper-dimensional tuning device that gives rise to Mind/consciousness bound to a physical-space-born organism.) (This is all just an experiment...)

<p>i once had a vision (Tetrahydrocannabinol induction) that each mind or mindset had one purpose, that being to generate Novelty. that we were in some kind of <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/capsulehotel" rel="external">capsule hotel</a>, each capsule containing our version of the universe perceived by us and therefore ours to make as we see fit... this is where Creativity comes into play. there would be novelty meters placed above each of the capsules and the higher gods would walk the hallways taking notes on the Neophytes. this vision has come and gone over the last year or so, specifically peeking through during lsd25 hallucination (almost a year ago now) and being around bright light. this is the same image that is seen through Alex Grey's - <a href="http://alexgrey.net/a-gallery/8-24/dying.jpg" rel="external">Dying</a>. which i hadn't seen for years before a few months ago. the eye is a very recurring theme with psychedelic imagery (<em>window to the soul</em>, etc... yet another display of humanity's collective focus on the Visual sense: <em>see</em> what i mean?). sometimes i think about what kinds of things could actually be done to generate Novelty in some kind of ecstatic way.</p>

<p class="note">this isn't going to mean anything to anyone but me, but here goes: i asked the web standards and semantics afficionado: can i have blocks inside my object element (the object displays an image) that are called something like: shape-meaning-13? (these shape meaning blocks would then have the ability to be styled in a way such as to push text around the object in a more meaningful way) he asks in return: in what way is "shape meaning" a container for some kind of semantic data? there is inherent meaning in the shape of the imagery in question(linked by the object), "shape meaning" if necessary to have a raison d'etre <strong>information</strong>-wise could contain coordinates for drawing the image(i would imagine much like the way an SVG file is built: this a Scalable Vector Graphic file which is a specification of XML) - an PHP script could pull that data from this XML data and dump it into the shape meaning blocks, then later on in the processing the stylesheet pushes the textual data out of its own container and sizes the block to the correct width of the original graphical shape allowing text to flow around the image... etc. and all this because i wanted to float a nice image of a heart through the above text and have it wrap nicely around it... i wonder if there's an A List Apart article on how to actually do this (in a simplified way). the attached image contains only part of the heart graphic.</p>

<p>I dreamt I bought a large archaic-looking <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recorder" rel="external">recorder</a> from someone that was dumpster diving for $5. I then brought it over to an old lot where a building used to be to show it to some people I knew. Upon playing it a black snake appeared out of the ground, then a green snake, then many many green snakes and one of them was close enough to bite me and did so.</p>
<p>I can't really sleep much recently. Serpents are in my dreamland often.</p>

I dreamed someone was attacking me over and over with a knife, while dodging
the knife stabs the attacker would be biting me to an excessively painful
level, I wonder if I was crying out in my sleep, it was that intense. I
found this more interesting when I woke up and realized my brother had just
had his <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anterior_cruciate_ligament" rel="external">ACL</a>
replacement surgery this morning. I called him and he said he was scared as
hell after being brought into the O.R. and viewing the palettes of cutlery
and surgical machinery, but everything went well, he's currently dosed on
Vicodin and should be able to walk again in a couple weeks.
