Astral Gateway Skull


1-performing full moon ritual out in the field (which was specifically geared towards contacting the astral body) [2010-03-30@2AM]



2-having partially achieved a wonder-trance (via transmuting a sorrow-trance) which i felt under the spell of when i first saw the skull (so the find was perhaps a direct reward for achieving that state at that time)... moments after seeing the skull i saw the coyote about 50ft away burst out of the trees and run off [2010-03-30@11AM]



3-before dragging it back (/last night) i had this strange notion that the astral body liked to play around out in the trees where the creek was located and that there must be little astral forest creatures and whatnot out there(!!) (pretty sleep deprived here...) [2010-03-30@9PM]



4-get it home, tweet about it, mindy prieur asks about meaning and i wonder if the skull sitting here is a possible gateway towards connecting with either A) the foresty area nearby [including coyote - probably the most complex nonhuman lifeform in the vicinity] or B) the astral body itself, or both. Perhaps then the 75% of the audience that did not realize that the dragon was actually a symbol for the inner-demon of illusion called Choronzon and that the entire film was actually a multi-layered metaphorical symbol of incredible subtlety. The film masterfully encourages the masses to banish said demon thereby creating new beginnings (see: 11) AKA accomplishing the magickal work.
The "place" called Wonderland is used to describe how Nature approaches the "individual" via a series of ordeals in order to awaken him/her to foreign aspects of perception and ability (which are two sides of the same coin). The quickest and most effective way of interfacing with the (M)other is via psychedelic shifting of perception by entheogen ingestion (which i feel was at least alluded to in the film). Another common method is through control of dreams, as is the case in the film, which also symbolizes metamorphosis (11 again)... an awakening of consciousness a layer deeper.
The film leaves out only one detail of the storyline: what she ate before tumbling down that hole.
